We purchased this display case at a Railroad Salvage store that was closing down for $50. The case was in good condition other than the three layers of paint and sticky tape residue all over it. The top glass was also heavily scratched up. The flourescent lighting worked perfectly.

Margaret tackled this project and as you can see from the "after" pictures, she first stripped all 3 layers of paint off the side panels and then she painted the sides with black paint. The theater name was carefully painted on the front and the inside base was coated with a fresh coat of white paint. Lastly, we replaced the top glass and the doors were replaced with black plexi-glass.
